As with most organizations, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a seismic shift toward virtual events for PSV. We reimagined ourselves continuing our mission while ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.
We quickly learned that this mode of engagement offered opportunities to creatively share poetry experiences with audiences in a digital space.
The change underscored the importance of adaptability and innovation, showing that even in times of crisis, the human spirit - and specifically, the poet's spirit - can find ways to connect and collaborate.
And it nudged us to embrace technology as an ally in keeping us informed and connected. Even as we've returned to in-person events, our virtual events remain a significant and valuable part of our work to cultivate Virginia's poetry.
